Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 900 gr. boneless goat meat (or young lamb)
  • 3 diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 tbsp. coconut milk (optional)
  • 1 lime juice
  • 1 tbsp. l salt
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 peeled and chopped Scotch bonnet peppers
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/2 tsp ground allspice
  • 3 tbsp. l curry powder
  • 2 chopped whole stalks of green onions
  • 1 onion cut in half rings
  • 3 minced cloves of garlic
  • 1/4 Art. vegetable oil
  • 7 tbsp. water

Recipe preparation:

  1. Rinse the meat well, rub it with lime juice (from 1/2 whole lime), put the meat in a bowl, then add salt, black pepper, Scotch bonnet pepper, thyme, allspice, curry powder, green onions, onions and garlic. Leave to marinate for at least 2 hours in the refrigerator, and preferably even longer.
  2. Heat oil in a pan until it is very hot and fry the meat until golden brown. Then add marinade, tomatoes and coconut milk (if used) and stew more about 3 minutes Pour in water, reduce heat and simmer when weak. boiling for 2-3 hours, stirring occasionally, until the meat is soft.
