Difficulty: Easy Servings: 4 – 6 V recipes use measured containers with a volume of: 1 glass (tbsp.) – 240 ml 3/4 cup (st.) – 180 ml. 1/2 cup (tbsp.) – 120 ml. 1/3 cups (st.) – 80 ml. 1/4 cup (st.) – 60 ml. 1 tablespoon (tbsp. l.) – 15 ml. 1 teaspoon (tsp) – 5 ml.
Ingredients for the recipe:
- 500 gr. salmon or fillet of white fish, cut into large in pieces
- A Fistful of Pea Pods
- 1/2 tsp brown mustard seeds
- 6 green cardamom pods, slightly crushed
- 4 cloves
- 1 large cinnamon stick
- 1 finely chopped small onion
- 2 tbsp. l vegetable oil
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 2 large cloves of garlic
- 1 slice (5 cm) of fresh ginger, peeled and cut into 4 parts
- 300 gr coconut milk
- 2-4 pods of green chili, leave intact
- 100 gr. water
- 10 curry leaves
- 1/2 – 1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
- 3/4 tsp garam masala
- 2 – 3 tsp. fresh lemon juice for serving
- 50 gr chopped fresh leaves and stems of cilantro
- Serve Basmati Rice

Recipe preparation:
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add mustard seeds, cardamom pods, cloves and sticks cinnamon and fry stirring for 20 seconds. (be careful, mustard seeds may explode). Add half chopped onions and fry for 4-5 minutes, or until onions soft.
- Meanwhile, put the remaining onion, ginger, pea pods, garlic, ground coriander and 55 gr. coconut milk in a blender or food processor and mix until you get uniform mash. Add this mixture to the pan with whole pods. green chili, salt to taste. Cover the pan with a lid and simmer over low heat for 12-15 minutes, occasionally stirring the dish.
- Add the remaining coconut milk, water, curry leaves, black pepper, garam masala and fish and leave to cook for 3-5 minutes, or until the fish loses transparency and is ready. Before serve, add lemon juice and fresh cilantro to the dish. Try and add seasoning if necessary, then place on plates and serve with rice. Note: whole pepper and green chili add flavor, however they are not too sharp (chili seeds hidden in a shell in
