Burgers with pepper and sausages

The recipe for burgers with grilled vegetables. Cutlets prepared from ground beef with pork minced meat with Italian spices, garlic and oregano. Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 450 gr low-fat ground beef
  • 225 gr. spicy or sweet uncooked Italian sausages without shells (minced pork with Italian spices)
  • 4 potato buns for hamburgers cut along
  • 4 slices of provolone cheese
  • 1/4 tsp dried oregano
  • Coarse salt and freshly ground pepper
  • 1 red onion, sliced 1.2 cm thick.
  • 2 bell peppers (red and yellow), sliced in strips 1.2 cm wide.
  • 2 tbsp. l extra virgin olive oil and a little more for lubrication
  • 1 grated garlic clove
  • 4 large basil leaves, torn into pieces
  • Hot topping marinara sauce (sauce recipe marinara)
  • Potato Chips for Serving

Recipe preparation:

  1. In a medium bowl, mix ground beef, sausages, garlic, oregano, 1/4 tsp salt and a pinch of pepper. Knead with your hands stuffing. Form 4 cutlets 2 cm thick. Set aside.
  2. Preheat the grill or grill to medium temperature. AT In a bowl, mix onion, bell pepper, olive oil, 1/4 tsp. salt and a pinch of pepper. Grill vegetables, occasionally turning over for 7 minutes until they are soft and get a slightly golden color. Put vegetables in a plate and set aside.
