Braised turkey drumsticks

Difficulty: easy Servings: 4 – 6 In the recipes volumetric containers are used in volume: 1 cup (tbsp.) – 240 ml. 3/4 cups (st.) – 180 ml. 1/2 cup (tbsp.) – 120 ml. 1/3 cup (Art.) – 80 ml. 1/4 cup (st.) – 60 ml. 1 tablespoon (tbsp) – 15 ml. 1 teaspoon (tsp) – 5 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 2 bottles (350 ml.) Guinness beer
  • 1.5 tbsp. veal broth or canned beef broth
  • 2 tbsp. l tomato paste
  • 1/4 Art. olive oil
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tbsp. diced onions
  • 1/2 tbsp. diced small carrots
  • 1/2 tbsp. diced celery
  • 1/4 Art. chopped in small cubes leek
  • 1 tbsp. l chopped garlic
  • 1 tbsp. l chopped green onions (white parts only)
  • 2 tsp chopped ginger
  • 900 gr. (approximately 4-6 pcs.) turkey drumsticks cut across ossobuco style
  • 2.5 tbsp. l wheat flour
  • 1/2 tsp ground allspice
  • 1 tbsp. l chopped fresh parsley leaves

Recipe preparation:

  1. Pour olive oil into a large roasting pan and heat it on medium heat. Salt and pepper the turkey. Put half the legs turkeys in a pan and sauté until they are well browned with both sides, about 3-4 minutes. from each side. Lay out fried legs, when they are browned, on a dish, and fry remaining legs. When the whole turkey is roasted, put in brazier onions, carrots and celery. Sauté the vegetables until soft, about 3-4 minutes
  2. Put leek, green onion and ginger in a roasting pan and sauté in for a minute, stirring often. Add tomato paste and well mix. Sprinkle the vegetables with flour and mix. Cook stirring for 3 minutes Pour Guinness beer and increase heat to moderate strong. Bring the beer to a boil and brew for 5 minutes. Add broth and allspice, mix and put the legs in the roasting pan again. Bring the contents of the pan to a boil again, reduce the heat, so that the liquid boils slightly. Cover the frypot and continue cook the legs until soft, about 2-2.5 hours. Remove the lid and add chopped parsley. Serve immediately with boiled white rice.
