Braised okra with tomatoes

Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 3 tbsp. sliced okra
  • 1 can (410 gr.) Canned tomatoes in cubes
  • 4 slices of bacon
  • 1 chopped onion
  • Salt and ground black pepper

Recipe preparation:

  1. Place a thick-walled pan on a moderately high heat and put the bacon in it. Heat it so that fat melts and bacon became crispy. Add onion and fry until soft, about 3 мин.
  2. Put okra and tomatoes, pouring in the pan remaining from tomato juice. Salt, pepper and stew for 15 minutes. Culinary Tip: If the contents of the pan become too dry, add water or chicken stock.
