Beef Goulash

Difficulty: easy Servings: 6 Used in recipes volumetric containers: 1 cup (tbsp.) – 240 ml. 3/4 cup (st.) – 180 ml. 1/2 cup (tbsp.) – 120 ml. 1/3 cup (st.) – 80 ml. 1/4 cup (st.) – 60 ml. 1 tablespoon (tbsp.) – 15 ml. 1teaspoon (tsp) – 5 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 450 gr beef stew for stewing (flank, drumstick)
  • 2 tbsp. l vegetable oil
  • 2 tbsp. water
  • 1 tbsp. l Worcester sauce
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1-2 bay leaves
  • 1 medium-sized onion head sliced in half rings
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp Sahara
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • A little ground allspice or ground cloves
  • 2 sliced large carrots
  • 3 chopped celery stalks
  • 2 tbsp. l corn starch

Recipe preparation:

  1. Fry the meat in vegetable oil. Add water, Worcester sauce, garlic, bay leaves, onions, salt, sugar, pepper, paprika and allspice. Cover and simmer for 1.5 hours. Take out laurel leaves and garlic. Add carrots and celery. Cover and cook another 30-40 minutes., pour 2 tbsp. liquids for the sauce. In a separate bowl dilute corn starch with 1/4 tbsp. water. Mix starch with with a little hot liquid and add starch to the sauce in order to thicken the sauce. Stir and cook until boiling sauce.
