Ingredients for the recipe:

Chile:

  • 1100 gr. ground beef
  • 1 can (790 gr.) Chopped tomatoes
  • 1 can (425 gr.) Of red beans, rinse
  • 1 can (425 gr.) Pinto beans, rinse
  • 2 tbsp. l vegetable oil
  • 1 large chopped onion
  • 3 tbsp. l chili powder
  • 1.5 tsp Chipotle Powder
  • 2 tbsp. l tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp. brewed coffee

Toppings:

  • Finely chopped toasted bacon
  • Grated cheddar
  • Crumbled corn bread
  • Corn chips
  • Fried onions in french
  • Chopped red onion
  • Finely chopped tomatoes (see recipe)
  • Sour cream

Recipe preparation:

  1. To make chili: Heat oil in large cauldron over moderate heat. Add ground beef and 1.5 tsp. salt and cook by stirring and kneading the lumps with a wooden spoon, about 10 min until rosy color. Put a slotted spoon in a bowl.
  2. Slightly lower the heat, add the onion to the pan and cook, stirring occasionally, about 5 minutes to softness. Pour powder chili, powder from chipotle and cook for 30 seconds, stirring. Add tomato paste; cook, stirring, for another 30 seconds. into the pan fried meat, add tomatoes, coffee and 2 tbsp. water. Bring to a low boil, then set a low fire and let it languish, partially covering it, for 1 hour. Remove excess fat that may float to the surface during cooking time.
  3. After an hour, add red beans and pinto. Keep going cook with the lid ajar until the tastes in the dish mix, another 30 min. For topping: Serve chili in bowls. Everything arrange the gas stations in small bowls and dishes so that guests can add them to your liking.
