Asparagus in a double boiler

Steamed asparagus retains its juiciness and most vitamins and minerals. Boil it like that so that it remains a little crispy and serve, sprinkled with olive oil, sprinkled with salt, black pepper and garnished with slices of lemons. A simple and delicious side dish for any meal.

Recipe:

  • 450 gr medium asparagus, cut and peel the stems
  • 1-2 tbsp. l olive oil
  • 1 lemon, sliced

Pour about 2.5 cm of water into a large pot. install inside a double boiler. Bring water to a boil, put asparagus in a double boiler, cover and steam until it will become crisp-soft, about 4-5 minutes. Put asparagus on heated serving dish, drizzle with olive oil, salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with lemon and immediately serve. Instead of olive oil, you can flavor asparagus tablespoon butter, sprinkle with grated zest a small lemon and 1 tsp. chopped parsley leaves. Recipes with Similar Ingredients: Asparagus, Lemon
