Recipe preparation:
- Mix tomato puree, 1 tbsp. l olive oil, salt, basil and garlic. Leave at room temperature to mixed the tastes and aromas of the ingredients for about 1 hour.
- Preheat the waffle iron to a moderate to high temperature. Slightly sprinkle flour on a clean work surface and roll half dough in a circle with a diameter of 15 cm. (or to the maximum size, which can fit in your waffle iron). Grease one side olive oil and put the oiled side down on the waffle iron, then oil the other side.
- Close the waffle iron (do not press) and fry the waffles until golden color and fully prepared, 4 – 6 minutes. Similar fry the waffles from the remaining dough.
- Meanwhile, preheat the tomato sauce in the microwave, so that it gets hot. Spread each wafer with half the sauce and sprinkle with half mozzarella. Put one pizza back on waffle iron and hold the top of the waffle iron over the cheese until it will not melt, 1 – 2 minutes.
