Monte Cristo Sandwich with Spicy Chutney

Strawberry chutney with habanero pepper

  • 900 gr. strawberries, peeled and sliced in a quarter
  • 4 tbsp. granulated sugar
  • Zest and juice of 1 orange (or 1/4 tablespoon of orange juice)
  • 1 habanero pepper, peeled from the stalk and seeds, shredded

  • 1 tbsp. whole milk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp. l granulated sugar
  • A pinch of ground nutmeg
  • 2 eggs

Recipe preparation:

  1. For strawberry chutney with habanero pepper: put a pan of approximately 4 liters. on medium heat, add sugar, orange zest and juice and mix until sugar is dissolved.
