Marcon almonds fried with thyme

Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 450 gr roasted salted almonds of the Marcon variety (kernels of this the varieties are round and short in shape with a relatively sweet taste and delicate texture)
  • 2 tsp quality olive oil
  • 2 tbsp. l chopped fresh thyme leaves
  • 1 tsp coarse salt
  • 1 tsp salt fleur de sel

Recipe preparation:

  1. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees.
  2. Almonds, olive oil, thyme and coarse salt lay on baking sheet, shake mixture. Bake almonds for 10-15 minutes, stirring with a metal spatula every 5 minutes, until nuts are not lightly browned. Watch carefully, nuts can burn very fast.
  3. Sprinkle with salt fleur-de-sel, shake and set aside cool down. Serve nuts warm or at room temperature. (Store chilled nuts in an airtight container at room temperature for 1-2 weeks).
