Wheat tortillas are made from unleavened dough on water and baked just like traditional corn tortilla. This cake can be used as a basis for national mexican dishes, especially for burritos, and also serve with all kinds of острыми соусами. Recipe preparation:
- In a large bowl, mix the flour and vegetable oil with a fork. Dissolve the salt in warm water and slowly add water to the flour mixtures until the components are combined. Collect the dough into a ball and knead in within 3 minutes Put the dough back in a bowl, cover the food film and leave at least 30 minutes.
- Divide the dough into 12 pieces the size of a golf ball. Roll each piece into a round cake with a diameter of 20 cm, using a rolling pin or a bottle. Bake tortillas in a red-hot pan over medium heat until brown on both sides. Wrap in foil and keep warm until consumed. Tortillas which are not consumed immediately, can be stored wrapped in the fridge.
