Guacamole Sauce

A feature of the time-tested Alton Brown recipe, is that only a handful of ingredients are used, such as avocados, cilantro and lime juice. Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 3 Haas avocados, peeled and seedless
  • One lime juice
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp chopped cumin
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 medium onion, diced
  • 1/2 jalapenos, peeled and chopped cubes
  • 2 plum-like tomatoes, peeled and chopped cubes
  • 1 tbsp. l Shredded Cilantro
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped

Recipe preparation:

  1. In a large bowl, put the flesh of avocado and lime juice, well mix. After all the avocados have been moistened with lime juice, drain the juice into another container. Add salt, cumin, cayenne pepper and mashed potato masher.
  2. Then add onions, jalapenos, cilantro and garlic. Pour in 1 tbsp. l remaining lime juice. Leave to infuse the sauce for 1 hour. room temperature, after which it can be served.
