Recipe preparation:
- Cut the onion as thin as possible in width to make shavings, not pieces. (You can use a vegetable cutter or a kitchen harvester by installing a nozzle for cutting vegetables into slices 1 wide mm.)
- Heat oil in a small skillet. In small batches fry the onions by constantly shaking the pan until it becomes crispy and golden, about 3 min. Tongs or slotted spoon put the onion on a paper towel to absorb the excess fat.
