Double cutlet cheeseburger

This juicy cheeseburger with two thick cutlets is cooked in accuracy, as it is in the popular American fast food chain In-N-Out. Each cutlet of ground beef is fried separately, then one side is greased with mustard and the other topped with a slice of cheese. Both cutlets are found on toasted bun and layered with amazing caramelized onions.   • 2 tbsp. l vegetable oil + optional to grease grill
  • 2 large onions, finely chopped
  • 1/4 Art. mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp. l ketchup
  • 1 tbsp. l pickled cucumber religion
  • 0.5 tsp white vinegar
  • 1 kg. ground beef (preferably with a fat content of 20% -40%)
  • 4 hamburger buns cut horizontally in half
  • 1/4 Art. sliced pickled cucumbers
  • 4 to 8 thin circles of tomatoes
  • 3/4 Art. torn iceberg lettuce
  • 1/4 Art. mustard
  • 8 slices of cheese

Recipe preparation:

  1. Heat in a large skillet over medium-low heat. vegetable oil. Add onion and sprinkle 3/4 tsp. salt cover and pass, stirring occasionally, until golden color and softness, about 30 minutes. If the onion is too fry quickly, reduce heat to a minimum. Remove the cover, increase heat to medium and continue cooking, often stirring until caramelization, about 8 minutes. Pour in 0.5 tbsp. water, and Scrape off any sticky pieces from the bottom of the pan. Put out stirring until the water evaporates, about 2 minutes; shift the onion to a bowl.
  2. Combine mayonnaise, ketchup, relish and vinegar in a small bowl. Form 8 cutlets of ground beef with a diameter of about 10 cm. And about 1 cm thick.
  3. Heat a large frying pan over medium heat, lightly grease vegetable oil. Fry the rolls with the slice down. Keep the pan on fire.
  4. Sprinkle cutlets on both sides with salt and black pepper. While working in batches, transfer them to a pan and fry for 3 minutes. Spread the surface of each cutlet is approximately 1.5 tsp. mustard then turn over and cover with 1 slice of cheese; fry another 2 minutes for medium rare. Cover 4 meatballs with caramelized onions, then cover them with the remaining patties, cheese up. Shift double cutlets for buns; top the burgers buns.
