Donuts Sopapilla (Spanish Sopaipilla) – a popular treat in Latin American countries where they are sold on every corner. Sopapillas are traditionally made from flour, baking powder or yeast, fat and a little sugar. The dough is cut into square, triangular or round shapes and fry in large quantities vegetable oil. Most often, donuts are served with sweet additives: syrup, ice cream, cream. But depending on the region, they can be served instead of bread with hot dishes or various соусами. - 120 gr. premium wheat flour
- 45 gr. whole grain flour
- 0.5 tsp salt
- 0.5 tsp baking powder
- 1 tbsp. l Sahara
- 1 tbsp. l pork or vegetable fat
- 1/3 Art. yogurt or kefir
- Vegetable oil

Recipe preparation:
- In a bowl of a food processor, mix all the flour, salt, baking powder and sugar. Add pork or vegetable fat and mix. Add the yogurt and mix again by kneading the wet dough. Lay it on a floured worktop and continue knead until sticky. Wrap the dough in food film and leave at least 30 minutes.
- Pour 10 cm deep oil into the pan with a thick bottom and heat it to a temperature of 190 ° C. Meanwhile, split the dough in half. Roll on a lightly floured work surface one half of the dough into a layer 0.3 – 0.6 cm thick.
- Slice into 6 squares or triangles. Throw 2 blanks, 1 at a time, in hot oil and fry, turning, 40 – 50 seconds to golden. Put the finished sapapillas on paper towels to drain excess fat. In the same order fry the remaining dough pieces.
- Serve donuts immediately on warm bowls ice cream, pouring with chocolate sauce, with English cream or sprinkled with powdered sugar or sugar with cinnamon.
