Deep bean and cabbage dip sauce

This vegan dip sauce is made only from vegetable components. Canned White Beans and Roasted Pine Nuts will be an excellent nutritious base of sauce, fresh cabbage pesto kale and basil, fill the appetizer with the necessary dietary fiber, bright taste and benefits of greens. A pleasant cheese flavor will give the sauce food yeast that also acts as a thickener. Grind all the ingredients in a food processor and sprinkle smooth homogeneous dip whole pine nuts. Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 1/4 Art. pine nuts
  • 2 tbsp. torn cabbage leaves cale
  • 0.5 tbsp. basil leaves + small sprig for serving
  • 1 small clove of garlic, minced
  • 3 tbsp. l olive oil
  • 2 tbsp. l freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/4 Art. food yeast
  • 1 tsp coarse salt
  • 1 can 425 gr. canned white beans with reduced washed salt
  • For serving: sliced whole grain baguette, chopped carrots, radishes and / or cucumber sticks

Recipe preparation:

  1. Put the pine nuts in a small pan and place on medium fire. Fry, stirring frequently, until nuts are browned and aroma will not go, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and completely cool. Set aside 1 tsp. nuts for serving, and pour the rest to a food processor. Add the same cabbage, basil and garlic and chop until cabbage is finely chopped. Add olive oil, lemon juice, nutritional yeast and salt and chop, mixing everything well. Add white beans and grind until homogeneous consistency, scraping the mixture as necessary the walls of the bowl.
  2. Put the sauce in a small bowl and garnish with a sprig of basil and toasted pine nuts. Serve with sliced baguette and vegetables.
