Cashew milk at home

Many raw food recipes use cashew milk or other nut milk, such as almond milk. Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 1/2 tbsp. raw cashew nuts
  • 2 tbsp. water (plus for soaking)
  • As a natural sweetener: a little syrup agaves (or another raw sweetener, such as maple syrup or honey)

Recipe preparation:

  1. Pour raw nuts with water and soak for at least 1 hour (than the longer the better). Drain and rinse the nuts.
  2. Place cashews and 2 tbsp. water into a blender or food processor and grind until smooth for at least a minute. Add to taste natural sweetener, such as agave syrup.
  3. You can adjust the density of milk as you wish, using more or less water. But in general, the ratio of cashew and water should be 1: 4. Exit: 2 tbsp.
