  • 2.2 kg beef brisket cut into cubes of 2.5 cm.

  • 2 tbsp. chopped onion
  • 6 large cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp. l chili powder
  • 1 tbsp. l flavored red pepper flakes
  • 1 tbsp. l cayenne pepper, or to taste
  • 2 tbsp. l ground zira
  • 2 green sweet peppers, peeled and chopped cubes
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 6 tbsp. tomatoes chopped with juices
  • 0.5 tbsp. strong coffee
  • 2 cans of 425 gr. canned kidney beans
  • 2 tbsp. l chopped basil leaves

  • Sour cream
  • Third cheddar
  • Diced Tomatoes
  • Corn chips
  • Guacamole

Recipe preparation:

  1. Dry the beef with paper towels. Heat olive oil in a very large pan with a thick bottom and quickly several fry meat in lots on all sides. Transfer brisket to separate bowl. Sauté the onion and garlic in the same oil in moderate fire until soft, but not brown, about 8-10 minutes.

  4. Add beans and basil and warm. Put chili in a large serving bowl and serve with sour cream, grated cheddar, diced tomatoes, corn chips and guacamole.
